COAT Colors IN CORGIS
Red & White
The red Pembroke Welsh Corgi only features two colors: red and white. The red can vary in intensity, from a deep red to a lighter red.
Black Head Tricolor (BHT)
The Black Head Tricolor Pembroke Welsh Corgi have Black, Tan, & White Colors. The head is always black, as are the back and the outside of the ears, the top of the head, and around the eyes
Red Head Tricolor (RHT)
The Black Head Tricolor Pembroke Welsh Corgi have Black, Tan, & White Colors. RHT's have lots of red color, more red than black. Red Head Tri colors will have red coloring on top of their head, across their ears, and around the eyes.
Fawn
The Fawn Pembroke Welsh Corgi is basically a red & white corgi, but as light as the red coat color gets.
Sable
The Sable Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a unique color in the sense that it is actually three colors mixed together: red, brown, and black. They are brownish corgis, with different tones of "brown"
Bluie
Bluie color corgis can come in literally every corgi coat color. So you can have BHT Bluies, Red Bluies, Sable Bluies, RHT Bluies, and Fawn Bluies. A bluie color corgi means that they carry two copies of the d locus gene. The d locus gene is the gene that dilutes the pigmentation of fur. They have a gunmetal blue/grey hue or a smokey, dusty color. Eyes will be a grayish blue or hazel, and nose will be grey/purple.
